Hunting

Conservation. Stewardship. Responsibility.

For me, hunting has never been about trophies or ego. It’s about connection to the land, to the animal, and to something ancient that still lives deep within us.

I hunt because I love wildlife. I spend more time watching animals than pursuing them. Every moment in the field sharpens my understanding of their patterns, instincts, and habitat. I believe in ethical, respectful harvesting where nothing is taken for granted, and everything is used.

Hunting is one of the most intimate ways to experience the wild. It's personal. It demands patience, awareness, humility, and reverence. It teaches you how fragile life is and how deeply interwoven we are with the world around us.

The shot is only a moment. But the relationship with that animal begins long before, and it stays long after. I carry it with me the weight of it, when I pack out the meat, when I cook it, when I share it with my family.

This isn’t about a grip and grin. It’s about gratitude. It's about being fully present in the wilderness and accepting the responsibility that comes with taking a life to sustain your own.

I share my stories to honor that connection and to remind people that hunting, when done right, is conservation. It's stewardship. And it’s one of the most meaningful ways I know to belong to the land.
